Peacock by VanillaAcolytes Peacock by VanillaAcolytes
Odd to see me posting two plush in a matter of three days.

Done from an online pattern found here- [link] The body worked out extremely well (it even has wings and a tail) but the feathers aren't written well. By following the pattern by the way it was written, the feathers didn't line up, so I redid the pattern my own way for them. I also got rid of the outlining because it doesn't work right and doesn't look right.

Done with colors I'm trying to get rid of because I don't have enough for a larger project.

Did you use the thread or regular yarn? did you make a finger puppet or did you close the bottom? do the "feathers" stay up or do they flop over? I want to make it SOOOOOO BAD lol. But these are the questions I need answered so I can get the right supplies

I'd be willing to replicate it in whatever colors you'd like. Send me a note, and we'll work out a price.

Ah wow, again do like that you have been experimenting with plushies with different shapes. This one must have been fun, with the fan-like tail and tall shape. Nicely done indeed!

The one thing that I like that I learned from the pattern was making wings and a tail. It's hard to see in the picture, but the wings and the tail (not the feathered part) are part of the body and not separate pieces.

Thanks! Honestly, I just picked the colors based off of ones I didn't have enough of for a big project and wanted to get rid of. :XD: I'm surprised they worked so well together.

Cool! You would kinda think, forgetting the fact that the males need a way to attract the females, that females (being considered the fairer side of the species) would be at least have a little color. Oh God, that run-on sentence. :iconfacepalmplz:

Shh, the English teacher part of my will ignore the run on sentence. :D But yea, I guess like a lot of other birds, it all has to do with showing off for mating.

I have so many that are either half skeins or less, and I've been so glad to get through some of them. I think I've now gotten rid of at least four; I've got about six more I really want to get rid of, and then I'll try to get through some others. Thank you!

Thank you! My first time doing the fan stitch actually. I was surprised it worked out because I had to improvise a lot of it, since the pattern wasn't aligned right.

Your icon is adorable by the way. :D

Once I figured out the basic pattern behind it, it was a lot easier and fun to see how it came out. I'm trying to experiment with some various stitches other than the basics, so it was good to try. Any other interesting stitches you'd recommend?

There's so many, and it depends on what you want to make. There's the shell stich, the chevron stich which makes your fabric wavy looking Like a Zag and many more

I know the chevron for friendship bracelets, but I didn't know about it for crochet. Thanks! I'll definitely check those out.
