Work in progress shot of the plush I'm currently working on, I don't normally post WIPs, but I'm extremely happy with how this one is coming along, especially because I'm doing it with no pattern and experimenting with techniques.
If not obvious already, I'm making Homer Simpson. I'm making it in honor of my dad who I lost a year ago to metastatic melanoma. We used to always watch the Simpsons together when I was growing up, and I would joke that he looked and acted like Homer. Well, apparently everyone else agreed because even his co-workers called him Homer. In honor of my dad's lighthearted spirit, we even buried him with a plush Homer. So it seems only fitting that I'm finally making the plush.
I've been really taking my time with this one, so not sure when the completed plush will be up.

What a lovely gesture to make Homer in memory of your father I am sure he will be smiling down saying: "Mmm...donuts!" My late husband and I always watched the Simpson's together he'd do Homer impressions LOL
